"How you decide what yoga is"

So Funny.  Find more at http://theyogacomics.tumblr.com/

We went to Sharath's lecture today where he said "the goal of yoga is how you decide what yoga is".  This is such a quintessential yogic response - but it aptly conveys where I am right now. One of the concepts I find so beautiful about yoga is that it is essentially a physical manifestation of impermanence.  We are constantly moving into and out of postures - for every pose there is a counter pose.  "Whenever we expand in one direction we at the same time need to counteract that by expanding into the opposite"(Gregor Maehle).  We move in and out of these postures, between rigidity and flexibility, between weakness and strength, muscles contracting while others are forced to relax.  It is nice to have a time of day where I know I will have some balance in this little way.  My hope is that eventually I will figure out how to extend this concept into everything I do.  It is comforting to know that I will always be armed with a counter-pose.

Natalie and I have Sundays as a rest day, so we decided to take a quick overnight trip to Georgia's Sunshine Village- where we were hosted by Georgia, Leonard, and their 10 dogs (all very well fed pups).  So naturally I was thrilled to spend time there.  It was amazing to be outside of the city.  It was strange to hear quietness again, a welcome  break from the stimuli of the city.  I can totally understand why people want to retreat into silence here.

E-mazing Swag made it all the way to India

We went on a nature walk in the morning.  We found this little temple along the way
